A life is lost over a cell phone in a Queens subway platform

Newsman: in queens Monday.  A 48 years old man  has died after falling on the subway tracks during a fight on the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Ave  subway platform in Queens. Believed the two men involve in fight were stranger. Police said, the 48 years old Heriberto Quintana accidentally bumped to another 50 years old man causing that man’s cell phone  dropped on to the track bed. Then the fight erupt and Quintana  fell on the subway track when the F train struck him. EMS eventually rescue Quintana;s body and later he was pronounced dead at Elmhurst  hospital.

 Police said, A 50-year-old man  has been arrested at the seen in custody now.

The suspect was standing near the platform of the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Ave. station at around 4:45 p.m. Monday when 48-year-old Heriberto Quintana bumped into him while walking by, according to Police.The contact sent the suspect’s cell phone tumbling onto the subway tracks.The suspect told the victim to go get his phone. He refused, and the two began arguing in Spanish.

Pushing and shoving and a fight culminated with the victim falling to the subway tracks where  he was struck by an F train leaving the station. Police are investigating whether the victim was pushed or he fell losing during fight.
