Trump says Iran won’t have nuclear weapon ahead of peace deal

Newsman: President Donald Trump on Tuesday said the forthcoming peace deal with Iran, expected to be signed later this week, says “loud and clear” that Iran won’t have a nuclear weapon.

Trump made the comments about a nuclear weapon Tuesday at the G7 summit in France.

“The only thing that really matters to me is Iran will never have a nuclear weapon, and it says it loud and clear,” he said, adding that “all hell will rain down” on Iran if it does intend to acquire a nuclear weapon.

Formal details about the agreement have yet to be revealed, but the Trump administration previously said the understanding would commit Iran to further talks about dismantling its nuclear program over the next 60 days.

Trump has slammed the idea that the deal will bring Iran an influx of cash. “The story that the U.S. is paying Iran 300 million Dollars is Fake News, put out by the Dumocrats!!!”

The upcoming deal announced over the weekend promises to bring an end to the fight that has killed thousands, including 13 U.S. servicemembers, and rocked the global economy. The truce is also expected to return the Strait of Hormuz to its pre-war, toll-free operating status and end the U.S. naval blockade on Iranian ports.

Trump says Strait of Hormuz will be open by Friday

President Donald Trump on Tuesday said the Strait of Hormuz will be completely open by Friday and that the text of a U.S.-Iran memorandum will soon be released in a formal setting.

The president also said he likes the idea of sending the Iran deal to Congress for review, a request by some Republican lawmakers.

“I think it’s going to go pretty quickly,” Trump told reporters at the G7 meetings in France

Trump denies reports that Iran gets reconstruction funding in peace talks

Trump said he isn’t upset with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who wasn’t part of the U.S.-Iran peace talks, and said the agreement could survive possible future military conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Trump said he suggested to Netanyahu to let Syria take care of Hezbollah, Iran’s proxy in Lebanon.

“I suggested to Israel to let Syria take care of Hezbollah because to be honest, I think they do a better job of doing it,” he said.

‘All hell will rain down’ if Iran breaches peace agreement: Trump

Trump warned of “unbelievable consequences” if Iran breaches the memorandum of understanding that both countries have signed but not yet released.

The agreement halts the conflict and the U.S. blockade on Iran’s ports for further talks about Tehran ending its nuclear weapons program and surrendering its stockpile of uranium.

“They are not going to develop it, they are not going to buy it, they are not going to do anything with it. If they do, they will suffer unbelievable consequences,” Trump told reporters in France at a conference of the largest western economies. “If they do, all hell will rain down on them. They are not going to do that.”
