Newsman: British far-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos was deported after ICE arrest. The Department of Homeland Security confirmed it deported Yiannopoulos on Friday. Yiannopoulos was arrested at New Orleans International Airport on Thursday, according to a DHS spokesperson.
The Department of Homeland Security said, Far-right British political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos was deported to the United Kingdom after being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The DHS spokesperson said in a statement that Yiannopoulos legally entered the country in 2019 and allegedly “chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation’s laws.”
“Yiannopoulos was issued a final order of removal by an Immigration Judge on July 22, after failing to show up for his immigration hearing,” the spokesperson said.
“This administration is working diligently to ensure that aliens in our country illegally can no longer fly unless it is out of our country to self-deport,” the DHS spokesperson said.
Yiannopoulos has been a prominent far-right figure online and has drawn major criticism for his outspoken views.
