Newsman: Two teenagers are recovering after being shot in Queens on Friday, according to police.
A 13-year-old and an 18-year-old were at the intersection of 103rd Street and 38th Avenue in Corona when they were shot shortly after 8 p.m., authorities said. Video from the incident appeared to show the two scooters alongside the teens.
Officials say the 13-year-old was struck in the arm while the 18-year-old was hit in the ankle.
Both were taken to the hospital, where they were expected to survive. An investigation into the incident is underway.
