Shot in head, A Bronx gas station worker in critical condition

Newsman: A gas station worker at Sunoco in the Bronx was shot in the head Tuesday night. He was hospitalized in critical condition. Police are investigating after the worker was shot.

Police say the 49-year-old male employee was approached by a man who shot him in the head and fled from the scene.

The incident happened just after 7 p.m. at a Sunoco gas station located at 2990 Boston Road in the Allerton section.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where his condition was said to be improving. Police say they expect him to survive.

They say the suspect was last seen wearing a sweatshirt.

So far there have been no arrests.

Police are looking into what led to the shooting.
