Newsman: Bomb threat forced a terminal the John F. Kennedy airport Friday. The Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport was evacuated immediately.
On Friday morning, an individual claimed to have a bomb in their luggage, according to the NYPD.
Emergency services and the NYPD Bomb Squad responded to the scene, and a safe perimeter was established.
Police report that the Port Authority Police Department has a person of interest in custody.
Police say Terminal 4 departures were temporarily evacuated.
Police say an investigation deemed the luggage not hazardous, and the terminal has been reopened.
