Hundreds of expatriates  came out to support student movement in Bangladesh

Newsman: Hundreds of expatriate Bangladeshi, mostly students and youngsters took the New York streets Thursday, to support the demands of students back in their home country against quota system for the government jobs. They condemn the killing of protester in Bangladesh by police and demand justice.

On Thursday, thousands of students clashed with armed police in the Dhaka. At least 11 people were killed, including a bus driver and a student according to numbers of international media outlet. Violent confrontations broke out on Monday after student protesters were attacked by activists of the Bangladesh Chhatra League, the student wing of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League party.

Protester gathered at Times Square from around the five borough of the New York City supporting the student movement across Bangladesh. They also demanded the resignation of the current Prime Minister Shekh Hasina chanting slogans and placards in hand. Another protest took place in front of the United Nation Friday to stop killing protesters by police in Bangladesh.
