US set new 3 records of Covid-19

Newsman: Wednesday, The United States set the new record of Covid-19 cases including the highest number of daily deaths, new infections and hospitalizations since the pandemic began. According to data from Johns Hopkins University 2,804 deaths was in a single day, 205,000 new cases, 100,000 (Covid Tracking Project). Hospitalization and 14 million total cases across the country and a total death of 273,843. Wednesday was the deadliest day for the US not only in the pandemic but in the US Health History. The Mayor of  Las Angeles Eric Garcetti warned in a news conference Wednesday, calling on residents to “hunker down” and “cancel everything” to help stop the spread of the virus fearing Los Angeles will run out of hospital beds by Christmas.

The record comes as the US suffers climbing cases and hospitalizations that mirror the devastation of the spring but those health experts now warn that it will get even worse further into winter.

CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield had a dire prediction for the winter months. “I actually believe they’re going to be the most difficult time in the public health history of this nation,” he said. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is recommending people to cancel plans to travel for the December holidays  like it did ahead of Thanksgiving.  Experts say,  if you must, get corona virus tests before and after.

Despite the CDC’s previous guidance had been to quarantine for 14 days, but it’s now suggesting two alternatives. But the agency on Wednesday announced new, shorter, quarantine guidelines after possible exposure to the corona virus.

While the much of the United States has seen a rise in cases over the last month, In  the last two weeks surge has been most acute In New Mexico, Arizona and California, where the percentage of new cases has risen by 109 percent, 90 percent and 75 percent, respectively, according to a NBC News data.

Health experts are bracing for a possible surge in travel-related cases following Thanksgiving. Cases stemming from the holiday are likely to be apparent about a week to 10 days after Thanksgiving.
