Tampa Bay defeated Kansas City Chiefs

Newsman: Tampa Bay defeated the reigning  champion Kansas City Chiefs31-9, in Super Bowl LV at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, the first modern title game ever played on the home field of one of the two finalists. Tampa Bay Buccaneers capped the strangest season in pro football history Sunday night. Tom Brady has taken things to another level not seen before: Winning a Super Bowl at age 43, in his first year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and making history by being part of the first team to appear in a Super Bowl in its home stadium and accomplishing all of this in a pandemic.

Brady, 43, was named Super Bowl MVP for an unprecedented the fifth time in his career and the only player to win the honor that many times. He will now be fitted for his seventh championship ring. Brady threw three touchdown passes, two to longtime teammate Rob Gronkowski, as Tampa Bay defeated the reigning champion Kansas City Chiefs31-9, in Super Bowl LV .

“I’m not making any comparisons”. “Being down here and experiencing it with this group of guys is — every year is amazing, and this team is world champions forever. You can’t take it away from us. Thank you guys. Thank you all ” Brady said when asked where this win ranked.

The Buccaneers won Super Bowl LV at Raymond James Stadiumby a score of 31-9 against last year’s champs, the Kansas City Chiefs and their superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, viewed as the player who will take the torch from Brady one day.

This is Tampa Bay’s second title, and it caps an NFL season unlike any before it, with Super Bowl LV taking place in front of a crowd of just 24,835 and roughly 30,000 cardboard cutouts of fans.

Sunday night’s title game in Tampa will end the weirdest campaign in pro football history, with numerous games having to be postponed and barely any fans — if any — in attendance at stadiums because of the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

Covid-19 cancellations were particularly hard-felt on Thanksgiving, an annual pro football gorge of three nationally televised games. But this season’s prime-time nightcap between high-profile rivals the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens had to be moved due to an outbreak within the Ravens organization.

The game was first rescheduled for three days later and then moved again to Dec. 2, in an incredibly rare Wednesday contest.
