Newsman: The U.S. communicated to the Israelis that President Trump is opposed to a plan to kill Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, adding that Iran has not killed an American and discussions of killing political leaders should not be on the table, according to a U.S. official, ABC news reports. Reuters first reported the news.
The U.S. is not considering joining the war with Iran to eliminate its nuclear program, according to U.S. official ABC news said.
The officials stated that Israel shared with the United States that they had a window to kill Iran’s leader but the president was not on board with the plan.
It’s unclear if Trump conveyed the message directly to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Netanyahu was asked about the Reuters report in an interview on Sunday with Fox News.
“There’s so many false reports of conversations that never happened and I’m not going to get into that. But I can tell you I think we do what we need to do, we’ll do what we need to do and the United States knows what is good for the United States and I’m just not going to get into it all that,” Netanyahu stated.
