Newsman: The United States want to see, human rights are protected in Bangladesh and that ultimately those responsible for violations of the human rights of the Bangladeshi people over the past few months need to be held accountable responding to a question in a daily press briefing Monday.
Matthew Millar said Secretary of state Blinken met with the head of the interim government of Bangladesh just two weeks ago at the UN General Assembly in New York And made clear to him that The US want to see human rights protected, and that ultimately those responsible for violations of the human rights of the Bangladeshi people over the past few months need to be held accountable.
The US departments of states spokesperson Matthew Miller also said,
“So of course we want to see the rights of minorities protected in Bangladesh as —often is as true all around the world” when asked by a journalist about specific measure that the U.S. will take in response to the urgent call from French-based human rights organization and human rights watch, JMBF, regarding the rising incident of mob violence and lynching in Bangladesh And how will it ensure accountability for human rights violations in Bangladesh.
The journalist also raise the question , how does U.S. Government view the protection of human rights in Bangladesh right now due to the growing concern surrounding the increasing number of legal cases being filed against innocent individuals , “I can’t speak to any of these individual cases” Miller said.
