Newsman: Bangladesh Liberation war veterans of 1971 along with more than a couple of hundreds of pro- liberation expatriate Bangladeshis under the Bangladesh Awamileague (USA) banner urged to the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to protect the national security and stop the “terrorist activities by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) with the Jamate-Islami Bangladesh and its student front Islami chatra shibir” on Monday.
In a written memorandum from a rally in front of the United Nations head quarter in New York ,they also have said, “Jamat-Shibir-BNP” are involved in a conspiracy to destabilize the country to disrupt the Democracy, Development, Human Rights and national security of Bangladesh through various terrorist activities. And recently these organizations took advantage of the student protests to enact their own agenda, i.e. an unconstitutional power grab through violence and terrorism in Bangladesh, as has been demonstrated by this particular political group amply since 2013 onwards. They have burned and destroyed the countries National television’s historical archive, the national data center that provides country’s Internet network system, newly built country’s first metro rail and brutally killed members of the law enforcement agencies on duties.
The memorandum was received by Adittya adhikari a UN official on behalf of the UN secretary General Antonio Guterres.
“Jamat-Shibir-BNP” through their inflators conducted destructions by vandalism, arson, and sabotage and terrorized the nation in a deeply planned manner.
